Life On Safari

Requirements
CITES and Trophy Documentation
You must be in possession of relevant CITES permits issued by the country into which you will be importing your trophies. Without the relevant import CITES permits your trophies cannot be exported from Tanzania.
CITES permits are required for category 1 trophies collected while on safari (Leopard and Elephant). Legendary Adventures is not responsible for obtaining CITES and other import permits for your final destination. Owing to the various complications involved with obtaining CITES permits, we strongly advise hunters to select taxidermists in the country of final destinations before commencing the safari. Your local taxidermist, wildlife department, environmental agency or agricultural agency will be able to advise you on your destination’s particular CITES and import regulations.
It is important to notify us in advance of trophy export from Tanzania of any matters relevant to importing in your country of final destination.
Visa Requirements
Citizens of certain countries are required to obtain visas for entry into Tanzania. The list of such countries changes from time to time, so it is important to check with your local authorities or travel consultant regarding current visa requirements.
Visas can be obtained for a fee at the airport on the day of your arrival; however, we recommend that you obtain your visa in advance to avoid unnecessary frustration and delay.
