Baggage & Personal Belongings
Each client is limited to 44 pounds (20 kgs) of baggage on the aircraft. Your baggage should be packed in soft duffel bags to fit into the luggage compartments of the aircraft.

Lost or stolen baggage and/or any personal belongings (including cash) are the responsibility of you and/or your carrier. Personal belongings including valuables such as cash cannot be stored or secured in camps or elsewhere during your safari. Neither Legendary Adventures, Inc. nor the local outfitters shall have any liability for baggage and/or personal belongings (including cash) which are lost or stolen during your safari.
Travel Documents, Insurance & Medical
It is your responsibility to ensure that passports, visas, travel permits, health certificates, inoculations or other documentation required for the trip are obtained and are in order. We strongly recommend that you obtain the following types of insurance, which are commercially available:
  • Accidental death and disability
  • Loss of personal effects
  • Emergency medical evacuation
  • Major Medical
  • Trip cancellation
We also recommend that you obtain medical emergency evacuation coverage. Our preferred provider is MEDJET ASSISTANCE. MEDJET ASSISTANCE is an annual travel membership program for people who travel for business or pleasure in the United States or abroad. We recommend that you contact your personal physician, local immunization clinic or public health facility to find out what immunizations are required and suggested for your overseas journey. Tanzania and Kenya are Yellow Fever Endemic zones in Africa. Therefore, Tanzania’s Ministry of Health & Social Welfare strongly recommends everyone get a yellow fever vaccination. Prophylactic medication for malaria as recommended. Additional information should be obtained from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) at 404-639-3534. Larger towns in Tanzania have drug stores and hospitals, but you should bring adequate supplies of your own medicines. First aid kits are carried in the safari vehicles and each camp is equipped with a comprehensive first aid box.
